5 Benefits to Private Yoga

The energy and fun of practicing with a community of people, learning, sweating and breathing together is amazing but we also love working one-on-one! Whether you are Yoga newbie or have been practicing for some time private yoga sessions has amazing benefits. In fact Yoga was traditionally designed to be taught in this way. If you are new to Yoga and feel intimidated by the idea of going into a room full of people, you can learn the basic poses safely and at your own pace. If you are more experienced and want to deepen your existing practice or nail some more advanced postures you can get specific guidance on how to do this.

Check out  5 other benefits of Private Yoga....
  • Schedule & convenience. City life & life in general is busy. We have work commitments, appointments, maybe children or others we take care of. Fitting in time for a practice can seem impossible and getting to the Yoga studio on a regular basis can be a struggle. Having a private session allows you to have your session at your home, workplace or local studio at a time suitable for your hectic schedule.
  • A class designed for you & your body. Private Yoga sessions are not like regular drop in Yoga classes. Instead of consisting of set sequences of movement that everyone moves through together, the session can be customized to give you exactly what you need. Whether you are cross training with another sport and need to balance your body with more flexibility and mobility work, want to build strength or need to learn how to slow down and breathe, it can all be done in private Yoga. Amazing!
  • Questions & feedback. Have you ever been in a class and wondered if you were doing the pose right? Did you wish your teacher would come over and help you more? Or wanted to ask a question. When you have the full attention of the teacher you can ask as many questions as you need without interrupting the flow of the whole class. They may also ask you questions as you practice to making sure you are practicing safely giving them feedback to adapt the pose to your  needs.
  • Adjustments. One of our favourites! Although you could be lucky to get adjusted in group class it might only be once in a blue moon. Each of our bodies are unique and so is the way we process information. Maybe you have been hearing a teacher say a correction over and over but are not an auditory learner and then with a slight physical adjustment it all feels fabulous!
  • Commitment. Having a private session can help us commit to our practice. Once you book your private session, its a sure thing the teacher will be there for your class no matter what! Even if your feeling unmotivated, your practice will still go head and giving you no excuse to skip all that feel good Yoga!
